Author Guidelines
General Requirements
- Manuscripts submitted to Journal Trias Criminologica: Studies in Criminal Law, Criminology, and Penology must be the author’s original work and not previously published, either in whole or in part.
- Manuscripts may consist of normative or empirical legal research, theoretical studies, or policy analyses related to criminal law, criminology, and penology.
- Manuscripts should be written in proper Indonesian or English.
- Submission is made through the Open Journal System (OJS) available on the journal’s official website.
- All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process before acceptance.
- Authors must comply with the journal’s editorial style, publication ethics, plagiarism, and APC policies.
Manuscript Format
- Manuscripts should be typed in Microsoft Word, Cambria 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, on A4 paper with 3 cm margins on all sides.
- The length should be 6,000–10,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
- The structure of the manuscript must include:
- Title (maximum 14 words)
- Author’s name, affiliation, and email
- Abstract (150–250 words) in both Indonesian and English
- Keywords (3–5 words)
- Introduction
- Research Method
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Citation and References Style
- The journal follows the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition citation style.
- In-text citations should use the format (Author, Year).
- Only references cited in the text should appear in the reference list.
- The use of reference management software (e.g., Mendeley or Zotero) is strongly encouraged.
Submission Procedure
- Authors must register as users in the journal’s OJS system.
- Manuscripts should be submitted in .doc or .docx format via the “Submit Article” menu.
- Authors will receive automated email notifications regarding manuscript status (submitted, under review, accepted, or rejected).
- All correspondence with editors should be conducted through the journal system or official email.
